Gerhana
Gerhana- meaning eclipse in Javanese, was the inspiration source for our project. We were drawn to the softness of the curve geometry and wanted to explore ways to introduce into the apartment. By specifying different lighting to interface with the curves on the ceiling, beautiful light and shadows were formed, adding additional textures and visual dimension to the living space. To encourage diffused natural light into the apartment, we use sheer curtains and timber display shelves that lined along with the windows. The above creates an interesting back-lit effect to the display objects and plants.
